Summary
Working with Walker Construction at London Excel Centre was an absolute delight for our team. Our task was to create a new site access and provide traffic management, including a temporary pedestrian footpath. We were determined to deliver a top-notch service and ensure that the client was fully satisfied with the end result.
The first step of the process was to excavate the existing footpath to the road formation level and remove the existing drainage kerb tops, leaving them in the channel. We then supplied and installed 12mm steel plates to the drainage channel, which was followed by the installation of Terram 1000 and Tensar TX160 geogrid.
We also installed new drop kerbs and leveled and compacted the new type 1 formation. Our team laid a new 20mm base course tarmac, which was then topped off with a new 10mm wearing course tarmac. We made sure that every aspect of the project was completed to the highest standards.
Our client was extremely pleased with the final result, and we were thrilled to have exceeded their expectations.
